Job Description: 

We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven International Business Development Professional to drive our international growth initiatives and expand our market presence across diverse regions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and fostering client relationships on a global scale. This role requires extensive international travel, and possession of a valid Canadian passport is mandatory. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to penetrate new markets and expand our global footprint. 
  • Identify and evaluate potential clients and partners in target markets through market research, networking, and relationship-building. 
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, industry influencers, and government officials. 
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with prospective clients and partners to secure mutually beneficial agreements. 
  • Represent the company at international conferences, trade shows, and events to promote brand awareness and generate leads. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to drive coordinated business development efforts and achieve strategic objectives. 
  • Provide market intelligence and insights to inform decision-making processes and optimize business development strategies. 
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, partners, and senior management to communicate business development initiatives, progress, and results. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, or related field required; MBA or equivalent qualification preferred. 
  • Proven track record of success in international business development, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a consulting or trading company. 
  • Strong understanding of global markets, industry trends, and cultural nuances, with the ability to navigate complex business environments. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, with a strong sense of initiative and resourcefulness. 
  • Proficiency in foreign languages is a plus. 
  • Possession of a valid Canadian passport and willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis is mandatory.
